Proclaiming Biblical Truth
Join us this Sunday at 10:30 AM
Welcome to Christ Church in the Wilderness, California City
We welcome you to our new church plant, where the Triune God is at the center of our worship. Our gatherings in our home are rooted in a biblical, Christ-centered community, modeled after the New Testament. We would love to invite you to join us for our service and share a simple meal afterward.
Mission Statement
Our mission at Christ Church in the Wilderness is, "To turn a generation back to Christ for the glory of God through the power of the Holy Spirit." The foundation of our mission statement and church plant will be established through the following defining practices: prayer, expository preaching, apostolic teaching, worship, baptism, communion, the public reading of Scripture, fellowship, fasting and community.
You’re Invited
Worship with us this Sunday at 10:30 AM in the sacred fellowship of believers as we gather to praise, pray, proclaim biblical truth, study Scripture, partake in Holy Communion and share a simple meal. We invite you to experience the devotion of the early church as described in Acts 2:42. We are a new church plant with a heart to serve God’s people and build the body of Christ in California City; join us.
The Meaning Behind the Name
The name Christ Church in the Wilderness reflects the abiding presence of Christ among His people in seasons of trial, hardship, and transformation. It speaks of His strength, guidance, and faithfulness as He prepares His people to endure, grow in faith, and proclaim His Gospel.
“Strengthened by His Grace, Steadfast in His Love — We Endure and Proclaim.”
